Our first experience in a cacao farm witnessing what it takes to responsibly grow fine cacao occurred upon founding SamiChakra LLC. We embarked then on the search for micro cacao farmers devoted to growing practices in harmony with their natural surroundings, preserving native cacao species, and masterly completing the process of fermenting and drying these heavenly beans. Ultimately transforming the beans onto a dark chocolate that exults the palate.
Those journeys centering on chasing genuine cacao producers and crafters of exquisite chocolate, opened the doors to finding initiatives and exemplary instances around cacao and chocolate making. It also led us to discovering harsh realities, and to connecting with other sectors as similar and diverse as coffee, tea and spices growing, handcrafting, hat making, and clothing manufacturing.
All sectors related by the same struggles, difficulties, challenges, and connected by the sole principle of working hand in hand with nature, and not against it, and embracing responsible and ethical practices filled with a high content of community support, development, and inclusiveness.
Our experiences as a cacao chaser detonated and guided us to our passion for raising mindedness about the actual actors and beneficiaries behind the products we consume, together with the impacts deriving thereof. It also inspired our thrive for advocating for a change to our consumption habits.
Hence the relevance and heartfelt significance of the name Cacao Chaser to our essence and commitment to promoting sustainable practices and a consumption model that is environmentally and socially solidary. The gifts we offer online and in our kiosks at the Washington Dulles International Airport, stem from our continuous chasing of products that are consistent with this commitment.
We invite you to join and contribute to our cause by buying from our gifts portfolio. We will also be honored by you visiting our Cacao Chaser kiosks in Washington Dulles International Airport, Terminal B, by gate B49.
